My name is Nadia. My journey and passion for fostering cross-cultural connections, particularly between the United States and Japan, are deeply rooted in my upbringing and experiences. As the daughter of a shin-issei immigrant, cultural complexity has been a constant in my life.
Spending my early childhood in Japan immersed in its language and culture shaped my identity profoundly. My father, a dedicated 30-year U.S. Coast Guard retiree, met my mother in Hokkaido, Japan, marking the beginning of my multicultural journey.
Embracing this heritage, I've developed a strong sense of belonging to both Japanese and American cultures, leveraging my unique perspective as a strength in all endeavors.
